Also known as the Santiago cross, this symbol is worn by pilgrims throughout the world who walk the trail through France and Spain to Santiago de Compostela.
The scallop shell is the traditional symbol of the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela in North West Spain. The Camino Ingles is a recognised version of the 100 km walk made up with the St Michael’s Mount to Lelant leg followed by the La Coruna to Santiago route.
