The White Horse at Uffington is an ancient prehistoric hill figure, 110 metres long, cut into the turf revealing the under-lying white chalk. It is the oldest chalk-cut hill figure in Britain, dating back 3,000 years to the Bronze Age. It is thought to be of tribal significance.
