Cornish Chess Set – this unique chess set is handmade in Cornwall from solid pewter and each piece is packed in bubble-wrap and then in an outer box. There is no wooden board or wooden box . Each piece is relevant to Cornwall and is depicted as follows:

Pawn – Lighthouse (H: 50mm, W:25mm)  Rook/Castle – Mining Engine house (H: 62mm W: 30mm)

Bishop – Cornish Celtic cross (H: 65mm, W:32mm)  Knight – Sword &  Shield (H: 65mm W: 32mm)

Queen – Bal Maiden (H: 73mm W: 31mm)    King – Cornish Miner (H: 76mm W: 31mm)

The two opposing sets are distinguished by one being highly polished and the other antiqued to give the pewter a slightly darker finish.

The chess pieces will fit onto 4cm squares leaving room to make moves.  Please note that the board in the photo is not included.
